Dr. Stephan McLeod — The meaning of mixed messages

Dr. McLeod-Bryant talk explores communication from the perspective of his interests in transcultural and public psychiatry. Dr. McLeod-Bryant attended the University of Rochester, where he received a BA, magna cum laude, in Cybernetics, then received his M.D. there in 1984. He completed his residency in psychiatry at the Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston, MA.

In January 2013, Dr. McLeod-Bryant became Professor and Vice-Chair of the Meharry Medical College’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in Nashville. There, he is Executive Director of the Lloyd C. Elam Mental Health Center and Director of the Medical School’s Junior Clerkship in Psychiatry.  In September of last year he was appointed interim Chair of the Department.
